Christmas Day was wonderful! We missed our families, but so appreciated being in our own house and setting our own schedule. It was great for Liam. He was so sweet! He can say "thanks" now, but only to copy you and I don't think he has any idea what it means. In his own little way, he was clearly gracious on Christmas morning for all of his beautiful gifts. We let him set the pace and he would open a couple of presents and then he would play with them for an hour or two. After a bit he would pick something else from under the tree and we would begin again. Stopping to play and not just ripping through everything seemed like his own way of being gracious. Sadly, I have fabulous videos, but I can't get them to load very well, so the pictures will have to do.

The perfect spot for breakfast!
Luckily for me, Liam has sorted this out. Wade left on Saturday with my Dad for the month in Europe teaching a history of science course. Liam and I are on our own until the 27th. We shall see how we manage. We have successfully managed the last 4 days, so I think we will be ok for the next 3 weeks!

So adorable! The train table looks awesome, and not at all smashed to bits. Christmas with little ones is the best!
Hi Liam, what was inside all those presents? Did you know that your mommy loves you even when you cry? I love you so much! Love,
Isabelle

Rachel, that video is precious! I remember trying to coax Isabelle into the living room to open presents when she was that age. It gets better!
