Liam loves standing on his stool and helping.
that occurred with the first cupcake when I let Liam do most of the filling.
Having learned my lesson, that almost 2 year olds aren't quite
coordinated enough for that skill, it took a pretty tight hold to keep
the batter in the pan and not on the counter.
When we first got to the museum, Liam was pretty stand-offish.
It took him a little while to understand that he could really touch everything.
That quickly faded though. Here he is off on his own adventure!
In case you've been wondering if Liam was sending Valentines this year, he is; they're just super late. The first week in February Liam was into coloring, so I thought he could color a bit on his Valentines, but by the next week coloring was totally out from Liam's perspective. Every day, I brought out the crayons and the cards and said in my most enticing and excited voice "let's color some pictures." Every day, Liam would look at me, wave his hand back and forth and say "no, no, no, no!" Finally it was Valentines Day and the cards were still sitting on the hutch in the living room. Happily, Wade was much more successful and he convinced Liam to color his cards today. Valentines will be arriving soon. I believe Liam and I might arrive in Washington to see my parents before the card gets there, but we did try.

Liam looks so big in the cupcake baking photos!
I think Andrew would go insane over the water table at the children's museum.
